Enterprise Forecast ReDesign

Overview: Enterprise Forecast is a budgeting and forecasting tool used by Canvas CU department leads to budget and forecast for department expenses and have those expenses reviewed, approved, and submitted to the board. The existing tool required extensive training to use, was used haphazardly leading to data inconsistencies and frustration among staff, and was used at the bare minimum, putting more required manual tracking of expenses on department leaders and finance.

 With a unique budgeting and forecasting process done at the credit union and elements within the existing tool that were irreplaceable to the finance department and CFO, the Enterprise Forecast web application was in need of evaluation and re-design to take advantage of it’s existing strengths and to mediate it’s pitfalls in user experience and data inconsistencies.
